WASHINGTON, May 28 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's Office of the Attorney General issued the following news release:
Attorney General William P. Barr announced the appointment of Stephen J. Cox as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. Section 546, effective June 1, 2020.
As U.S. Attorney, Cox will serve as the chief federal law enforcement officer in the Eastern District of Texas. He will be in charge of overseeing 55 Assistant U.S. . . .
