WASHINGTON, May 23 -- Rep. Stephen Cohen, D-Tennessee, issued the following statement in recognition of Memorial Day:
"On Memorial Day, the traditional beginning of the summer season, we pay tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives defending our nation, and all those we have lost.
"Last year, I had the privilege of visiting the Normandy American Cemetery where more than 9,000 of the fallen of the 1944 D-Day invasion were buried 75 years before, . . .
