WASHINGTON, May 22 -- Reps. John B. Larson, D-Connecticut, and Tom Reed, R-New York, issued the following statements on May 20 after a roundtable discussion on Social Security and COVID-19 pandemic:
"The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the urgency. We need to act now to strengthen Social Security. Even before the pandemic struck, Social Security was set to be paying out more than it was taking in. During the discussion, I made it clear that this is the time to roll up our sle . . .
