WASHINGTON, May 22 -- Sen. Robert Menendez, D-New Jersey, issued the following news release:

U.S. Senators Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) and Cindy Hyde Smith (R-Miss.) introduced bipartisan legislation to eliminate the cost-share payments required of states and communities included in federal disaster declarations in 2020. The bill is cosponsored by Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-La.) and Gary Peters (D-Mich.).
