PIERRE, South Dakota, May 22 -- The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation issued the following news release:
During the week of May 10 through May 16, a total of 3,806 initial weekly claims for unemployment benefits were processed by the Department of Labor and Regulation. This is a decrease of 1,463 claims from the prior week's total of 5,269.
A total of $4.7 million was paid out in state benefits, in addition to $13.7 million paid out in Federal Pandemic Une . . .
