WASHINGTON, May 22 -- Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement urging the Chinese Communist Party not to impose legislation that would further stifle freedom in Hong Kong and reiterating U.S. support for Hong Kongers' fight for democracy:
