Recent Rainfall Creates Flooding Concerns on the Umatilla National Forest

PENDLETON, Oregon, May 21 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's U.S. Forest Service unit - Umatilla National Forest - issued the following news release:
Due to significant rainfall many rivers and creeks on the Umatilla National Forest are nearing their bank levels and at risk of flooding. Forest officials advise the public to use caution when traveling on or to the Forest, as roads and trails could be impacted by washouts or obstructions (such as rocks or boulders).
