WASHINGTON, May 15 -- Rep. K. Michael Conaway, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Agriculture Committee, issued the following statement after voting against HEROES Act (H.R. 6800):
"In the midst of this global pandemic, the Trump Administration asked Congress for $50 billion to provide critical economic relief to farmers, ranchers, and rural America. Bipartisan legislation introduced in the House would provide $68 billion in funding to give USDA the tools it needs . . .
