WASHINGTON, May 16 -- Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyoming, issued the following statement after the voting against Speaker Nancy Pelosi's $3 trillion legislative proposal:
"The legislation before the House today was not a serious effort from Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats to help Wyoming or our nation. Instead, it was filled with irresponsible proposals that would reward illegal immigrants, release prisoners, and fulfill other liberal priorities that have nothing to do with combatti . . .
