WASHINGTON, May 16 -- Rep. Will Hurd, R-Texas, issued the following statement after voted against Democrats' partisan $3 trillion legislation masked as a coronavirus relief package:
"I believe the way we, as a country, solve problems is by empowering people not the government. Unfortunately, the HEROES Act does the exact opposite. This partisan piece of legislation tries to centralize power within the federal government by encouraging people to stay unemployed rather than seek . . .
