WASHINGTON, May 16 -- Rep. Timothy Burchett, R-Tennessee, issued the following news release on May 15:
Congressman Tim Burchett (TN-02) announced he will vote against H.R. 6800, the Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions (HEROES) Act.
The HEROES Act would spend 3 trillion taxpayer dollars on:
- on bailouts for fiscally mismanaged states;
- expanded unemployment benefits that make it more lucrative for many people to stay home . . .
