OLYMPIA, Washington, May 13 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Northwest Regional Field Office issued the following news release:
Hay stocks on farms on May 1, 2020 totaled 490,000 tons in Idaho, up 23 percent from a year ago. May 1 stocks represent 10 percent of 2019 production. Disappearance from December 1, 2019 was down 1.9 million tons. On-farm hay stocks in Oregon totaled 400,000 tons, up 135 percent from 2019.
