WASHINGTON, May 9 -- Reps. Eliot L. Engel, D-New York, and Michael T. McCaul, R-Texas, chairman and ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following joint statement on violence in Afghanistan:
"The dramatic increase in violence in Afghanistan is an unacceptable violation of the Trump Administration's February agreement with the Taliban.
