WASHINGTON, May 8 -- Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Michigan, issued the following statement after Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's announcement that state's manufacturing workers will return to work on May 11:
"The Governor's announcement on resuming manufacturing is an important step in the deliberate, careful resumption of our economy. "The next step is for every facility to carefully consider and plan for health and safety. Given the 8th district is home to GM plants in Lansin . . .
