WASHINGTON, May 7 -- Rep. Tom Reed, R-New York, issued the following news release:
Rep. Reed announced the National Park Service has awarded Chemung County and the American Battlefield Trust $112,850 to expand the Newtown Battlefield New York State Park. The park marks the site of an American Revolutionary War victory on Aug. 29th, 1779 for the Continental Army.
