WASHINGTON, May 7 -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Oregon, issued the following news release:

Oregon's U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley and Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) are leading a bipartisan group of five senators in pushing Senate leadership to include $700 million in funding over two years for non-profit credit counseling services--critical services that would help consumers and small businesses with debt avoid bankruptcy amid the economic fallout of the pandemic--in upcoming coronavirus relief . . .
