Sen. Hoeven: Treasury Announces Initial Allocation From $8 Billion of Historic Cares Act Funds to Indian Country

WASHINGTON, May 7 -- Sen. John Hoeven, R-North Dakota, chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on the announcement by the Treasury Department that it will allocate 60 percent of the $8 billion from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act to assist tribes with COVID-19 relief efforts:
