WASHINGTON, May 7 -- Rep. Robert C. Scott, D-Virginia, chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee, and Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-New York, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, issued the following joint statement on May 6 after the Education Department finalized a rule to revise standards for schools' responsibility under the Title IX to respond to campus sexual assault and harassment:
