WASHINGTON, May 1 -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics issued the following article from the Economics Daily:
Grocery stores play a crucial role in our communities, providing access to food, medicine, and other provisions; generating jobs; driving economic growth; and helping to ensure their products and services are available during times of need. There were 89,248 establishments in the grocery stores industry in September 2019, with 2,656,848 workers.
