WASHINGTON, April 30 -- Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Michigan, issued the following news release:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm-fixed-price construction contract to construct the new Upstream Approach Walls for the Soo Lock Complex, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. This historic move marks the beginning stages of getting shovels in the ground to construct a new Poe-sized Lock.
