WASHINGTON, April 30 -- en. Debbie Stabenow, D-Michigan, ranking Democratic member of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee, issued the following statement on reports that President Trump plans to use the Defense Production Act to order meatpacking companies to stay open during the pandemic:
