Rep. Maloney Condemns Apparent Decision to Deactivate the National Response Coordination Center

WASHINGTON, April 30 -- Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-New York, chairwoman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, issued the following statement on a report that the Federal Emergency Management Agency is planning to deactivate the National Response Coordination Center:
