NYC Health + Hospitals Marks Progress for ICU Bed Expansion in the Bronx

NEW YORK, April 25 -- The New York Health and Hospitals issued the following statement by Executive Director Cristina Contreras:
"Last month we began the construction of 120 temporary ICU beds at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx to help manage the surge of COVID-19 patients and support our health system's plan to triple ICU bed capacity by May.
I'm pleased to report that construction is moving at a record pace and we will have the necessary new electric, . . .
