International Rescue Committee: First Case of COVID-19 Confirmed in Lebanon Refugee Camp

NEW YORK, April 24 -- The International Rescue Committee issued the following statement by Country Director Matias Meier on a case of coronavirus confirmed among the refugee population in Lebanon:
"Although strict measures have been put in place to try and protect refugees, a case of COVID-19 has now been detected in one of the most vulnerable communities in the country. We've been working hard to raise awareness about how people in the communities we support can keep themselve . . .
