Sen. Schatz: Hawaii Island Set to Receive $61M in Federal Disaster Relief Funding for 2018 Kilauea Eruption

HONOLULU, Hawaii, April 22 -- Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) announced that Hawaii County will receive $61,434,523.20 million in new federal disaster relief funding. This grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be used to repair roads that were destroyed during the 2018 Kilauea eruption.
