WOODLANDS, Texas, April 21 -- Rep. Kevin Brady, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Ways and Means Committee, issued the following statement on April 19 after the Trump administration announced a 90-day deferment period on certain payments for importers who have faced a significant financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic response:
