WASHINGTON, April 15 -- Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., D-New Jersey, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, issued the following statement on April 14 in response to the Environmental Protection Agency's announcement that it will not strengthen the particulate matter national air quality standard:
