WASHINGTON, April 14 -- Rep. Jefferson Van Drew, D-New Jersey, issued the following news release:
Congressman Van Drew requested a state of emergency declaration in response to severe weather in South Jersey. Storms and winds battered down areas already struggling with resource allocation during the COVID-19 crisis.
A state of emergency must be declared for the areas impacted to have access to funds.
