Rep. McCaul Issues Statement on WHO Urging China to Close Wildlife, Wet Markets

WASHINGTON, April 14 -- Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on April 13 on the World Health Organization urging China to close wildlife or wet markets as some of the markets have begun to reopen:

A wildlife market in Wuhan, China is the suspected source of the COVID-19 outbreak. Congressman McCaul sent a letter to Director General Tedros earlier this month with a group of bipartisan lawmakers . . .
