HOUSTON, Texas, April 9 -- Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, John Cornyn (R-Texas), and Senate colleagues sent a letter on Tuesday to United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressing opposition to the appointment of Minister of the Chinese Mission in Geneva Jiang Duan to the United Nations Human Rights Council Consultative Group.
