WASHINGTON, April 4 -- Rep. Colin Allred, D-Texas, issued the following statement:
Washington, D.C. - Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32) announced that an agreement has been reached for Baylor, Scott & White to donate an existing, vacant hospital to the North Texas VA Health System, clearing the way to open a VA health care facility in Garland. Within weeks, the hospital will initially be used by the VA to treat COVID-19 patients, and will have 100 beds.
