DALLAS, Texas, April 2 -- Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, D-Texas, chairman of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, issued the following statement:
Despite pushback from major automakers, the Trump Administration announced the final rule to roll back Obama-era fuel efficiency standards for tailpipe emissions from vehicles.
This new rule will loosen fuel efficiency standards for automakers that would lead to an increase of nearly a billion more tons of carbon . . .
