NASHVILLE, Tennessee, April 1 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Tennessee Field Office issued the following news release:
Farmers in Tennessee intend to plant 1,040,000 acres of corn, 70,000 higher than 2019. U.S. corn growers intend to plant 97.0 million acres for all purposes in 2020, up 8 percent from last year and 9 percent higher than 2018.
Soybean acreage in Tennessee was expected to total 1.50 million acres, up 100 . . .
