ANCHORAGE, Alaska, April 1 -- The U.S. Attorney for the District of Alaska, Bryan D. Schroder, issued the following news release:
U.S. Attorney Bryan Schroder announced a new effort to investigate and punish wrongdoing related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The Department of Justice, in response to a March 23, 2020 Executive Order signed by the President, has created a task force charged with addressing hoarding and price gouging associated with COVID-19.
