WASHINGTON, March 24 -- Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tennessee, issued the following news release:
Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) led a letter to Vice President Mike Pence and the White House Coronavirus Task Force asking why the United States did not follow World Health Organization guidance, available since January 17, for manufacturing Covid-19 tests and instead relied on a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) test, which was found to be inoperable on March 1.
