WASHINGTON, March 23 -- Rep. Stephen Cohen, D-Tennessee, issued the following statement:
Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a former member of the Tennessee State Senate, mourned the loss of his friend and colleague Jerry W. Cooper, and made the following statement:
"Jerry Cooper was an outstanding State Senator, an unsung hero of another era willing to accomplish bipartisan policy objectives, including his help in getting my state education lottery passed into law.< . . .
