MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin, March 21 -- The American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology issued the following news release:
Despite the presence of the lone star tick, which is known to induce alpha-gal syndrome, cases of alpha-gal in Texas and the Gulf of Mexico are low, and it might be due to the invasive fire ant species.
