EAST LANSING, Michigan, March 21 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Great Lakes Regional Field Office issued the following news release:
Michigan honey production for 2019 totaled 4.70 million pounds, up 10 percent from 2018. This estimate included honey from producers with 5 or more colonies. Nationally, Michigan ranked eighth in honey production in 2019. Yields from Michigan's 94,000 honey producing colonies averaged 50 pounds in 201 . . .
