WASHINGTON, March 20 -- Rep. Filemon Vela, D-Texas, issued the following news release:
Congressman Filemon Vela (D-TX) called on Governor Greg Abbott to expand Medicaid eligibility to all uninsured individuals in Texas.
By expanding access to Medicaid and providing billions in federally-available funds to Texas hospitals, millions of uninsured Texans would be able to access vital health care services, which would help protect against the further spread ofCOVID-19.
