WASHINGTON, March 12 -- Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-Oregon, issued the following floor statement:
Congressman Earl Blumenauer (OR-03), member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, opposed the reauthorization of the PATRIOT Act considered on the House floor. He released the following statement:
"I have long opposed aggressive, sweeping surveillance powers authorized in Section 215 of the PATRIOT Act, which have time and again violated individuals' constitutional righ . . .
