WASHINGTON, March 12 -- Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, issued the following news release:
The State of Hawai'i will have immediate access to more than $4.5 million in emergency funding. The funding, which was approved by Congress and signed by the president last week, will be used to help Hawai'i respond to the crisis.
