WASHINGTON, March 11 -- Rep. Peter A. DeFazio, D-Oregon, chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., D-New Jersey, chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, issued the following joint statement on March 10 urging water utility companies to avoid shutting off water service in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak:
