RICHARDSON, Texas, March 8 -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas issued the following news release:
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) members will have access to coronavirus (COVID-19) testing as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and prescribed by health providers. Effective immediately, BCBSTX will not require preauthorization and will not apply members' copays or deductibles for testing to diagnose COVID-19 when medically necessary and . . .
