WASHINGTON, March 7 -- Rep. Stephen Cohen, D-Tennessee, issued the following statement:

Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that Shelby County will receive a $130,000 grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to support its ongoing compliance with the National Ambient Air Quality Standards by collecting data on fine particulate matter.

"Air pollution can be a serious health hazard and fine particulate matter can do real damage to the lungs.
