WASHINGTON, March 6 -- The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee issued the following opening statement on March 5 by Chairman Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, at a hearing entitled "Threats Posed by State-Owned and State-Supported Enterprises to Public Transportation":
