Gina Ortiz Jones won yesterday's Democratic primary in Texas' 23rd Congressional District, advancing to the general election. Ortiz Jones lost in this district by just 926 votes (.4%) in 2018 and is running as a champion for reproductive freedom and equal rights for all, as well as to be the first openly LGBTQ member of Congress from Texas and first female Iraq War veteran to serve in Congress from Texas . . .
