Reps. Ron Wright (TX-06) and Filemon Vela (TX-34) introduced the bipartisan State and National Guard Fairness Act of 2020. Before 2018, members of the National Guard and State Defense Forces were able to claim unreimbursed work expenses as tax deductions.
