Reps. Filemon Vela (TX-34) and Ron Wright (TX-06) introduced the bipartisan State and National Guard Fairness Act of 2020. Before 2018, members of the National Guard and State Defense Forces were able to claim unreimbursed work expenses as tax deductions. This legislation would restore these deductions, allowing National Guard and State Defense Force members to submit drill travel costs and uniform . . .
