WASHINGTON, March 3 -- Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, issued the following statement in response to the recent local public health emergency declaration due to the coronavirus by San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg:
"This afternoon San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg declared a local public health emergency following the release of a patient from quarantine who later tested positive for COVID-19.
I am disturbed by the handling of this situation by health management offici . . .
