WASHINGTON, Feb. 29 -- Earthworks issued the following news release on Feb. 28:
The Forest Service issued a preliminary approval for another expansion of Simplot's Smoky Canyon phosphate mine in southeast Idaho, despite the mine's ongoing selenium pollution.
